28 Mar At JONDO, Quality Matters
Who We Are
At JONDO, quality matters. It is a deep and rich part of both our identity and our history.
JONDO began over 30 years ago by reproducing fine art limited editions for artists. In fact, we were a key contributor to the original creation of the giclee art form. That museum-quality standard of manufacturing is something that carries through to the products we continue to make today, now on a larger scale.
Quality at a Global Scale
To maintain our leveled quality of work across the entire JONDO global fulfillment network, we continue to invest in key areas to drive continuous improvement in all we do. It begins by sourcing premium materials for our products. For instance, canvas prints, the core JONDO product, use a proprietary formulated coating that allows for deep blacks, rich saturation, accurate flesh tones, and high luminance. Additionally, all stretcher bars and frames are made from real wood grown in renewable forests that adhere to industry archival standards.
In our identical factories, HP printing technology enables us to maintain and reproduce the same exact colors across all of our locations globally. UL Certified GREENGUARD GOLD Inks also allow our prints to be flexible, scratch-resistant, and odor-free without the need for a post coating. We continue to research new state-of-the-art automation technologies to ensure optimum levels of product quality all while achieving new efficiencies.
Methods to Success
Six Sigma methodologies are deeply integrated into our workflow with the goal of continuous improvement. Each of our facilities maintains the same standard of manufacturing by utilizing the same workflow in every facility to achieve the same quality of work. JONDO Research and Development & Quality Assurance teams regularly analyze our existing processes while exploring new ways to enhance them and our products.
“Quality is important because it helps sell the product. It allows people to be able to share their enthusiasm and excitement for something. When they share that, there’s no cost to the company as it is free, organic word-of-mouth marketing.
The difficulty with quality is that it takes a long time to develop it and a consistent effort to maintain it. I am proud to say that we are one of the companies that has done that.”
